Works great - cat does not trigger the alarm

The LaserShield system works great! I not only use it when I am away but also at night when I sleep. It was a great investment and the best part is that my cat doesn't trigger the alarm... I am glad I have this system and will be moving it with me everywhere I go.

I bought two

Excellent product. I bought two plus an extra IR sensor. Now I have alarm systems in stereo; one on each end of the house with anouncement voices and alarm tones from two directions. That ought to disorient any bad guys.
One thing I would like to see and that is the option to configure base units to Arm the system on 1st click without phone line. (With no phone line it takes 2 clicks of the key fob separated by about 20 seconds. (My wife won't wait.)
Also, how about allowing the end user to program in a phone number (like my cell phone) instead of the central number so that I can be alerted to the alarm without having the additional expenses of subscribing to a service. (Gotta save money.) I'd be willing to pay extra for the base unit. OBTW, connecting Two base units to the same phone line won't work, they lock each other out and won't dial.

Needed new batteries

My system batteries ran down. I called Lasershield Support and they rushed new ones Fedx. Then my main unit went out. Again they replaced it ASP. Thank you Lasershield.

My LaserShield has paid for itself many times over

My wife's business had been burglarized twice, maybe three times, in a period of less than a few months. We didn't want to go through another burglary again. I remembered hearing Rush Limbaugh doing an ad on his radio show, about your alarm system. I bought one at "Office Supply" the day after the second or third burglary. (It's a small lunch Deli and the local news had the story about the small business and the many burglaries, on the 5 oclock news. by this time) A short time later, days possibly weeks, my wife opened the business up one morning and was alerted to the third or forth burglary. She saw what appeared to be blood all over the floor and on the wall. Apparently, the burglar triggered the system and must have been freaked out while trying to get back out the glass window. He didn't break the window. Its about 12 feet off street level and tips open, into the business, to allow for ventilaion. We never did figure out what caused the cut or bleeding but its been over a year maybe closer to two and no more attempts to gain entry have been made. We lost over five hundred bucks in each incident, not to mention the helplessness, frustration and rage we felt. In the 90's I sold "wired" security systems and I wanted to avoid the never ending expense of monitoring on an already skinny bottom line, plus the time needed to install a wired system. My "Laser Shield" system was in service almost instantly and has paid for itself so many times over, I can only imagine it has saved us thousnds of dollars in repair cost, uninsured losses, and peace of mind in the time we have had it. I usually don't comment on products but I lost a battery cover and since I was here you deserve a "pat on the back" for a great product. I recommend it to everyone when security comes up during a conversation.

We love our Lasershield. We purchased it after a relative suffered a home invasion. We wanted to feel a little safer....and we do. Also, it is easy for us to allow our neighbors in when we go out of town. We have a pet and when we leave town we just give our neighbor the remote and they can take care of our pet easily. Thanks for a great product.
