The LaserShield Cyclone Home Alarm Adapter plugs into the rear of your master LaserShield Unit to allow it to communicate nationwide using the GSM cellular network. It is an add-on to your LaserShield Starter Kit if you want to have monitoring in locations where you do not have a land line or broadband phone connection.

The Laser Shield Cyclone is compatible with all Laser Shield Starter Kits which may have been purchased here or at your favorite retailer (i.e. Wal-Mart, Costco, CompUSA) who generally do not stock add ons such as the Laser Shield Wireless Detection Unit, Laser Shield Cyclone, or Laser Shield Sparrow.

The Laser Shield Cyclone is an adapter with a built in cell phone for the LaserShield Security System. It gives you a cellular home alarm system at a reasonable price. The Cyclone makes the LaserShield Home Alarm system immune to power failure AND cut phone lines. Now you can monitor your summer cottage, RV, construction site, boat, storage shed, barn, spec home - any location that does not have a land line.

The Laser Shield Cyclone GSM module is $229.99. The total monthly cost for monitoring is $29.95 a month, or about 97 cents a day. This is a significant savings over any wireless solution ever offered by any alarm service. Most companies charge $30 or more each month for basic monitoring and nearly double that amount for an additional RF service to protect against cut or non-existent hard line phone service.

As always, all monitored subscribers will receive an extended service voucher where LaserShield will replace any part or device, including any back-up battery for your system, completely free of charge for the life of your service.

It was easy to set up my alarm system to protect my barn, but the Cyclone cellular phone box did not work. I called Tech Support and Eli walked me through some troubleshooting steps. We then determined that the Cyclone unit was defective and he had a new one shipped FEDEX to me. The new one worked fine and Eli made a follow up call to ensure I was satisfied. The Laser Shield customer support is really first rate and I'm very satisfied with the system.

Works for my investment property	August 22, 2008

I have an investment property that I am remodeling that is worked on during the day but sits vacant at night. During the remodeling phase there are a lot of valuable tools and equipment that my contractors and I prefer to leave at the job site for the sake of convenience. In July, a thief broke a window pane out of the back door, turned the deadbolt and entered the property and stole some equipment. I boarded up the door but was worried that the thief would return, so I started to investigate alarm systems. I did not want to invest in a conventional installed system because I intend to sell the home and furthermore I don't have telephone service since the home is vacant. I wanted a system that would be portable so I could use it again in the future at my next project and I also wanted the system to be monitored for quick police response. I found the answer in the LaserShield system with the Cyclone cellular monitoring device which gives me full monitoring protection via cellular technology with no need for a landline. The system was simple to install and set up in just a few minutes. The base unit tells you what to do and the status of the system. I have real peace of mind knowing that my investment is protected from burglary and even from desperate thieves that are ripping copper plumbing and wiring from homes because of the high value of the scrap metal. This is great technology.
